April 2016

So for my first real maternity post I thought this was the perfect everyday kind of outfit to wear while sporting a baby bump.  It’s comfortable and practical and you can easily swap out the leather heels for a pair of cute flip flops for optimum comfort.  The shirt is from Altar’D State and I just loved many of the pieces they had while I shopped in the store in Columbus last week!  A lot of their items are flow-y and loose yet very feminine with a little “boho” twist.  The shoes from Sam Edelman absolutely caught my eye when I saw them and I think they will go with lots of outfits this spring and summer.  I’ve linked several of the items from the outfit below!

Surprise!

So the past several weeks I have definitely taken a step back from blogging.  The truth is we are expecting our second child together and I just haven’t felt up for it!  We are so excited about this baby as it was important for us for Maverick to have a younger sibling to grow up with.  He absolutely adores my step children who are 12 and 14!  Now this will even things out on the baby end and he’ll have a buddy he can boss around!

I am now almost 20 weeks along and have been feeling great!  I’m over all of the yucky first trimester stuff and into a good grove with the second.  The third was by far the hardest for me the last pregnancy because I just got so uncomfortable at the end.  Maverick was a big baby at 9 lbs. 5 oz. (thanks to his Dad) and I am very petite!  I’m hopeful that this one will be a bit smaller.  Now my blog will shift into dressing the bump in a practical way.  I’m a firm believer in not buying too much actual maternity clothes, with so many flow-y options it can be done!  Plus then you can wear many of the things after.  And at the very end big T-shirts and sweatpants are always okay in my book!
